Mohawk Carpet tiles use very eco-friendly and sustainable backings on each of their carpet tile. The carpets we have included in our sale have 3 different kinds of backings:

EcoFlex Matrix

EcoFlex Matrix backing is the "next generation in carpet tile backing. Using advanced materials and patent pending engineering, EcoFlex Matrix lowers environmental impact without sacrificing performance. EcoFlex Matrix simplifies floor preparation and installation, greatly reduces sub-floor moisture concerns, and is easier to ship and handle."

EcoFlex ONE

Mohawk EcoFlex ONE backing is an "advanced flooring solution that improves every aspect of comfort and acoustics while eliminating moisture testing—all with a lighter environmental footprint that is Beyond Carbon Neutral."

EcoFlex NXT

EcoFlex NXT backing "is up to 40% lighter than similar competitive products, making it easier to install and less expensive to ship. It also incorporates a minimum of 35% pre-consumer recycled content."
